Bible in a Year
In 2021, Ascension Press ran the Catholic Bible in a Year Podcast featuring Fr Mike Schmitz and Jeff Cavins. It was the world’s number 1 Religious Podcast with over 250 million downloads. You can do it at your own pace by signing up at ascensionpress.com/biy
Catechism in a Year
In 2023, Ascension Press with Fr Mike completed the Catechism in a Year podcast which slowly and prayerfully read through and broke open the Catechism over 365 days. The daily podcasts can be listened to at your own pace. It is available at ascensionpress.com/ciy
Ascension App
Bible in a Year and Catechism in a Year are also available in the attractive and free Ascension Press app. There is a subscription also available which offers you loads of biblical teaching and commentary for an additional fee: ascensionpress.com
If you have already started either series, you can transfer your progress into the Ascension app. The free version works very well.
Formed resources
- We make use of resources that are available on the Formed platform. To sign up using the subscription provided by the Diocese of Wollongong, visit https://formed.org/
- Click “Formed for Individuals”
- Type in your email address.
- Continue to the Sign-up page. Fill in your details.
- You will see a message to “Join your parish”. Type in “Woll” and then select the “Diocese of Wollongong, 38 Harbour St, Wollongong” from the list.
- Then click Submit.
- You will then be able to access the resources that we will be using as we make our way through the program.
